Our team attends community events and runs Active Travel Roadshows across Greater Manchester all year round.

Community events

Chat to our active travel experts at community events about how you can start walking, wheeling or cycling in your area. Information is also on hand about courses to improve your confidence or ability . We’ll also have free goodies to giveaway.

  • Saturday 5 July, 9.30am - onwards - Glad2BeeRad Festival, Close Park, Radcliffe.

  • Saturday 2 August, 10am - 8pm - Heaton Park Food Festival, Heaton Park, Manchester.

  • Wednesday 6 August , 1.30* - 8pm - Three Sisters Cycling Event , Three Sisters Circuit, WN4 8DD. *adapted and balance bikes only 1.30 - 3pm.

  • Thursday 7 August, 11am-3pm - Gorse Hill Ride and Stride Festival, Trafford, Gorse Hill Park, Trafford. A free fun-filled day in the park with cycling and walking activities for the whole family.

  • Friday 22 August, 10am - onwards - Bolton Food and Drink Festival, Victoria Square, Bolton.

  • Saturday 23 August, 10am - onwards - Bolton Food and Drink Festival, Victoria Square, Bolton.

  • Wednesday 14 October, 10am - 12pm – University of Manchester Sustainable Travel Day, M13 9PL. Supporting students and staff to make environmentally friendly choices when travelling.

Active Travel Roadshows

Our Active Travel Roadshow events showcase and celebrate Active Travel across Greater Manchester. With a variety of fun, informative and engaging stalls from TfGM and other organisations, the roadshows support more people to walk, wheel or cycle in their local area.
