Scheme description

An upgrade to the 14km disused railway line and canal path that together connects Chorlton to Debdale Park via Fallowfield and Levenshulme. The second busiest cycleway in Greater Manchester will be upgraded to create a more open route, with upgraded lighting, access points and better signage, to make entrances more prominent. Work will also be undertaken to preserve existing habitats and provide information boards about the local wildlife. This route is managed and maintained by Sustrans.
