Scheme description
Continuing the facilities proposed for Chapel Street East Phase 1, the scheme would support the achievement of a high quality route for pedestrians and cyclists along Chapel Street and adjoining roads between Blackfriars Road and Manchester.
This will include improvements to the junction of Blackfriars Street and Chapel Street and facilities along Blackfriars Street. As an integral part of this approach, an improved route for pedestrians and cyclists will be created into Greengate. The preliminary design for this scheme is scheduled for the end of 2021.
