Scheme description
This scheme will provide four new safe and attractive routes between the existing multi user path along the A6 MARR and residential areas, schools, retail and employment areas in Bramhall, Heald Green and Cheadle Hulme. The scheme includes new and upgraded bridleways, as well as a new controlled crossing at locations where pedestrians and cyclists cross busy roads. There will be improved cycle/footpaths between Newlands Avenue and Woodstock Avenue including conversion of the existing signal controlled pedestrian crossing on Gillbent Road to a pedestrian and cycle signal crossing with landscaping areas.
