Additional information
This scheme includes residential streets, off-road paths and new crossings to help people safely cross roads and junctions between the Fallowfield Loop and the Trans Pennine Trail, on foot on by bike.
The scheme covers a large number of areas and neighbourhoods and includes features such as wider paths for cycling and walking, off-road routes, as well as a number of crossings for cyclists and pedestrians. Key features include contraflow cycling on Buckingham Road which will convert the existing cycle lane to a 2.5m wide two-way cycle track, with a No Waiting at Any Time proposal.
Phase one is currently under construction.
