Heatons Cycle Link is a 6.5km project to connect the Fallowfield Loop to the TPT at Heaton Mersey. Phase 2 will provide 2 km of surfaced, lit pedestrian and cycle paths on Heaton Mersey Common and adjacent playing fields from Hawthorn Road to Cherry Holt Avenue and Priestnall Rd to Burnage Lane. The scheme will also provide 440m of improved low traffic routes from Harwood Rd to Hawthorn Road in Heaton Mersey, and improvements to the unadopted Leegate Road including a cycle filter point and improvements from Leegate Road to the WCML bridge on Buckingham Road.
