Here's what you'll find:
If you have any questions please contact wheelsandwalks@tfgm.com.
Monitoring
Monitoring your activity is vital in capturing the changes in behaviour towards your activity.
What to capture and when
- Every session: what activity was delivered and how many people attended
- Week 1: participants complete the initial survey.
- Week 6: participants complete the follow-up survey.
- Month 6: participants complete the follow-up survey.
- Month 12: participants complete the follow-up survey.
We've created a monitoring toolkit that details what to capture and when.
Please read the toolkit before starting any monitoring activity.
Tracking your activity
We need to know from what activity you delivered and how many people took part in it. We ask that you not only track the walks or rides, but also anything else that influences your audience. For example, a workshop, a training or first aid session, or a podcast.
If you already track your activity then please send us a copy of that information. If you don’t track your activity then please complete the activity tracker.
We'll ask for an update on your activity every quarter so we can report back into TfGM on your progress.
Initial survey
Please capture initial surveys at your first session, or when someone joins your activity for the first time.
We have designed inclusive versions of the survey to support different audiences, so please check which version you're downloading or sharing.
Although we've considered many disabilities, if there isn't a version for your group then please get in touch.
Follow-up surveys
Please capture follow-up surveys at 6 weeks, 6 months and 12 months.
Here is the online version of the follow up survey.
Participant case studies
We ask each Wheels and Walks groups captures at least one case study. These case studies are a fantastic way for us to use in our campaigns and promote your group and impact it has. Please accompany each case study with one or more photos.
Evaulation
Upon completion of your project please complete and send us the following items:
- End of project report (see template below).
- A list of what activities you delivered and how many people attended each activity (see activity tracker).
- Participant case studies.
- Photos or other media that celebrates your achievements.
- Invoices and receipts of your spend.
Training and development opportunities
As part of the Wheels and Walks programme, TfGM are proud to provide training and development support to every group and their participants.
Training for groups can help build skills, confidence and capacity within the group, and ensures that knowledge, leadership and expertise is developed to enable delivery of high-quality walking, wheeling and cycling opportunities now and into the future.
A guide listing training and development opportunities available is available.
If you’d like to request some training for your group leaders, volunteers, or participants, follow the below steps:
Read the guide and consider what training might benefit your group to deliver walking, wheeling and cycling opportunities.
Chat to our Wheels and Walks team about the training you’d like, your aspirations, and any skills, knowledge or support you’d like to explore.
Submit a training and development request form via the link below.
Once we have received your request, we’ll help to coordinate the training with relevant providers
